Infinity Challenges Guide

Your complete resource for mastering all 9 Infinity Challenges and breaking infinity.

What Are Challenges?

Infinity Challenges are special runs with unique restrictions that disable or penalize certain game mechanics. They are unlocked by purchasing the [7;1] Challenges! upgrade from the Infinity Upgrades tree.

Completing each challenge rewards you with a permanent, powerful upgrade that makes future runs easier. Completing all of them is necessary to "Break Infinity" and progress to the next stage of the game.

Recommended Challenge Order

Following a specific order can make completing the challenges much smoother. The generally accepted optimal path is:

C2 → C1 → C3 → C4 → C5 → C6 → C7 → C8 → C9

This order prioritizes the challenges that provide the most significant early boosts, making subsequent challenges easier.

C1: Promotions 2/4 Disabled

Restriction: You cannot use Promotion 2 (Laps Speed Mult) and Promotion 4 (Promotion Power).

Reward: All Mults are multiplied by (time in infinity)^0.1.

Strategy: Straightforward. Since you only have Promotions 1 and 3, focus on those. The run will be slower but requires no special setup. Complete this after C2 for an easier time.

C2: Ascension Power Divided by 4

Restriction: Your ascension power is significantly reduced.

Reward: Ascension Power is multiplied by 1.25.

Strategy: This should almost always be the first challenge you complete. It's only a bit slower than a normal run, but the reward provides a crucial boost for all subsequent challenges.

C3: Exponent - 0.4

Restriction: Your base exponent is reduced by 0.4, severely slowing income.

Reward: +0.03 to base exponent.

Strategy: Wait until you have all Infinity Upgrades up to column 8. This is a slow challenge (around 30 mins for the first time); using Time Flux is recommended if you're stuck.

C4: Prestige/Promote Gains ^ 0.4

Restriction: Prestige and Promote gains are raised to the power of 0.4, crippling multiplier growth.

Reward: Prestige Exponent is multiplied by 1.1.

Strategy: A tough hurdle. It's recommended to have at least column 9 Infinity Upgrades. Be prepared for a very slow run. Farm more IP for more upgrades if you get stuck.

C5: Weaker Promotions

Restriction: All promotions are significantly less effective.

Reward: All Mults are multiplied by (time in infinity)^0.15.

Strategy: Easier than C4. The best approach is to turn off auto-promote entirely and let your auto-prestige settings do the work. The run is surprisingly fast this way.

C6: Decaying Mults

Restriction: All of your multipliers decrease over time.

Reward: All Generators are twice as strong.

Strategy: Relatively easy. You just need to prestige and promote fast enough to outpace the decay. Keep your automation on and it should be quick and painless.

C7: Mults / (Infinity Time)^2

Restriction: Your multipliers are divided by the square of your time in the current infinity.

Reward: All Mults are multiplied by (time in infinity)^0.2.

Strategy: A race against time. Recommended to have Infinity Upgrades up to column 13. Focus on getting your first few promotions (especially Mult Gain) as quickly as possible.

C8: No Ascensions

Restriction: You cannot ascend your colors.

Reward: +0.01 to Prestige Exponent.

Strategy: Have Infinity Upgrades up to column 14. Since ascensions are disabled, Promotion 3 is useless. Focus on Promotions 1 and 2. Get them to about level 100 each.

C9: Only Four Colors

Restriction: You can only use the first four colors (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green).

Reward: Double infinities gain.

Strategy: A very long, slow grind (can be 1-2 hours for the first time). The main strategy is to let your generator multipliers build up over a long period. An AFK approach is viable after some initial manual promotions to get started.

After the Challenges: Breaking Infinity

Once you complete all 9 challenges for the first time, you will unlock the ability to "Break Infinity." This is a major turning point in the game.
